Teaching & Outreach

I am always keen to pursue oppotunities to broaden understanding of climate science. I have a series of interactive talks, stage shows, classroom materials, and lectures for a variety of audiences. Please get in touch if I can help with your event!

Saints talk 2020 (25 min)

Talk given to the University of St Andrews community, November 2020, discussing climate science, impacts, and solutions - and looking for sources of optimism.

TEDx talk 2018 (15 min)

My TEDx talk on Earth Day 2018 in St Andrews. I discuss the 3 S's of climate change: the science is simple, the impacts are serious, the problem is solvable (in part through the medium of dance).

Climate change teaching resources (in progress)

Teaching has the potential to inspire young people to fix climate change, both by taking action themselves and encouraging grown-ups to do so too. However teaching climate change can be challenging, due to misinformation, the perceived complexity of the issue, and a lack of well-established structures. In collaboration with St Andrews GeoBus programme, I am developing a series of free educational resources with the aim of providing an engaging, reliable, straight-forward, and logical framework for teaching climate change.

Explorathon show 2017 (1 hour)

Science festival show on the climate science, impacts, and solutions, featuring explosions and the CO2 dance.
